Slash at the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam
There are two sides to every story, especially when it comes to the ugly and combative history of Guns N’ Roses.
In one corner, we have the fat, Botox-faced, wig-wearing fuck (thank you, Scott Weiland!) known as Axl Rose, who has taken more than one opportunity to label his former guitarist Slash as a cancer. In the other, we have the man sometimes known as Saul Hudson, who has spent the past two decades proving himself to be one of the nicest guys in rock ’n’ roll.
Guess who we’re bigger fans of?
If you picked the most famous top-hatted musician in rock ’n’ roll, pass “Go” and then head directly to the Hard Rock Casino in Coquitlam on Friday (August 15), when Slash plays selections from his latest solo record, World on Fire. And also, we’re going to go out on a limb and suggest a couple of selections from Guns N’ Roses, which, quite frankly, hasn’t been the same since he left.

Yeah I was at this show and it completely blew away the GNR show I saw a couple of years back
Musically Slash is on the "winning side" of it all. Axl needs to put more energy in his new band

The issue with Guns N' Roses is that Axl has too big of an ego to see that he alone never carried GNR it was with the other people like Slash that got GNR to where they were - the biggest band in the world.
None of equaled GNR from the 80's and 90's

I thought he only called him a cancer once? Oh well, I still think it's kinda weird to judge musicians by their personalities rather than the music they produce. And you're just not being honest if you say that a Slash concert sounds better than a GnR concert :P

Slash has a p.r. company that lost his tons of dough with their bad advice
like spending 30K on a Hollywood star. It didn't help his record sales.
They use the feud that ended in '96 to get press to sell Slash's albums. Pathetic.
Axl is doing better without his Slash's outdated style and fake "nice-guy" act.
Get over it already

Boo hoo Slash isn't in Guns N Roses. Everyone knows Axl and Izzy were the driving force behind the band, y'know being the original members and all that. Slash could play a good solo, but the guy is such a poseur and tries way too hard to act cool. I'd much rather see Robin Finck or Buckethead return to Guns than Slash.

No Slash = no GNR worthwhile.
Without Slash you would not have riffs, solos, sounds, and textures that made GNR so great. So all of the Slash bashers who love posting digs at Slash no matter how subtle (or not) - that means you Jim - are just seen for what they are
By the way gtrunk not everything related to mygnr is a conspiracy out to hate Axl and you, get over it mate
Too many Axl defenders in here

C'mon you guys are quick to jump on Slash but never admit that Axl may have played some part in the breakup
Slash is not doing anything wrong and he is out kicking ass. What are you guys doing?

These commenters are all crazy
Slash is awesome. Axl is awesome. GNR is awesome. Stop with the bashing of Slash or the bashing of Axl and grow up people
Stop with the forum drama, it is pathetic
OPEN LETTER TO JIM

Jim, you may be a nice guy in real life but your forum schtick is kind of annoying. Your pseudo-philosophical drivel trying to sound like what you post is part of some intellectual referential inside joke is tiresome.
Your forum "persona" just feels too forced and over dramatized. That is the major reason why so many people fight with you on the forums, they do not like your persona plus the need to post so much such as linking to articles like this. So what if this article is biased? You don't need to link to every single article you find unfair. Get over it.
And you don't like Slash? We get it. Posting about "Sl-sh" and other "creative" ways of not calling him by his name is dumb for any reason.
Oh and gtrunk - everyone knows you hate mygnr. We get it. However you make up random conspiracy theories about people on mygnr and pass them off as fact which considering why you say you hate mygnr, is very hypocritical
