Simon Fraser University has received its largest-ever donation—a gift of $22 million from industrial real estate developers Ryan and Keith Beedie.
Accordingly, the Burnaby-based postsecondary institution’s faculty of business administration has been renamed the Beedie School of Business.
SFU says the cash will be used to create an endowment that will support students, professorships, and research chairs.

Great....Now SFU can fund more right wing economics and business students who can work for the Fraser Institute.

I think you're talking about Sauder students. The majority of SFU Business grads are pretty left wing.

I'm sure SFU students will find this donation "unethical" and complain about all the money they are getting.

What a useless waste of money. Four years of the present value formula. Great, very complicated stuff.

It may help to reverse the tide of business recruiting from the philosophy department.

Respectfully, the daddy made the fortune - I'm not that interested in what the son has to say -

According to Andrew McCleod at The Tyee Newspaper - Ryan Beedle is a main supporter of Kevin Falcon (see: disgraced Premier Gordon Campbell) will close ties to Canaccord stock broker and Campbell financier Peter Brown - who apparently is getting wishy washy about his support for Kevin Falcon.
If Falcon loses - whoever beats him will certainly put someone in the Post Secondary post - who isn't close to Falcon -
Note from Carole Taylor:
thanks for the 22 million and we'll be in touch.
