Bill Vander Zalm writing book on B.C.'s HST fight
His self-published Bill Vander Zalm: For the People got him into legal trouble. One might think the former Social Credit premier would be done writing books about his battles.
Yet he's doing another one. It's about the epic fight the retired politician led to defeat the harmonized sales tax. He's hoping for a bestseller.
"So far, I haven't had much time to sell anything," Vander Zalm told the Straight by phone. "I've been busy doing other things."
Vander Zalm expects the book to be released late summer. Even a vacation won't stop him from working on it. He said in jest: "I'm taking it with me. Isn't that dumb?"

Will he publish it himself again? Then show up on religious channels to sell it? Will Rafe Mair interview him?

I can only imagine what another fictional tale from Mr Vanderzalm might look like. I wonder if he will claim he rode a fire breathing dragon and that the HST was a spawn of Satan out to hurt him and his big business buddies...
"Bill Vanderzalm: Against the People" is my recommended title.

I like Vander Zalm - he's the only former leader/politician - save for Rafe - who doesn't sit around with the media patting one another on the ass.
He's also a bitch in a fight - and I can respect that.

Bill not only stood up against Government LIES and Hypocracy, he stood alongside the people on a tax system he believed would truly hurt the general public-in the interests of the BIG BUSINESS LOBBY!
I witnessed DEMOCRACY first hand myself as the Regional Organizer for collecting signatures in a very BUSINESS & CONSERVATIVE region-The North Shore!
People were lining up on the Seawall to sign the Petition! They realized it was the only avenue to get rid of a Bully-Egotistical Premier-Campbell!
He and all those MLA's lied to the public, thinking we were all dumb and ignorant. That's how government's control society-by feeding garbage and thinking we will digest it! The HST book should and will shed the truth about the PROCESS; About DEMOCRACY; about the HYPOCRACY and LIEs of the BC Liberals!
