Vans footwear is back at it again, 50th anniversary celebration at The Boardroom

The most popular viral trend on the internet a couple weeks ago was “Damn, Daniel.”

A compilation of a series of Snapchat videos, the viral meme features a well-dressed teenage boy, and his friend praising his style by repeatedly calling out “Damn, Daniel”—as well as noting his white Vans sneakers.

Basically, this viral video drew attention to Vans footwear and put it back on the map of trendy and stylish shoes for the younger generation.

The iconic footwear brand is turning 50 this year, and The Boardroom (1749 West 4^th Avenue) is hosting a celebration tonight (March 16) from 7 to 10 p.m.

Party-goers will be the first to view the Vans anniversary footwear, participate in a cash cube to win Vans money and VIP experiences at upcoming Vans events, and receive a limited edition gift (with $75 purchase).

A Vans jacket customization station will also be present, along with music by DJ Vinyl Ritchie, complimentary drinks from Postmark Brewing, a birthday cake, and more.

The event is free and guests of all ages are welcome (I.D. required for alcoholic beverages).
