      Yes, it's true: he's back.

The Vancouver Pride Society announced today (June 30) that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will march in this year's Vancouver Pride parade.

This will be the third consecutive year that Trudeau has marched in Vancouver's parade but it will be the first time that a sitting prime minister will participate in the parade.

The parade, now in its 38th year, will be held on July 31.

Trudeau will become Canada's first Prime Minister to march in a pride parade when he participates in Toronto's on July 3. He also made history by raising the Pride rainbow flag at Parliament Hill on June 1.

He also marched in Fierté Montreal in 2015, in which all political party leaders participated except for then-Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

Trudeau's participation in both Toronto and Vancouver's Pride parade comes at an important time when LGBT communities were shaken by the deadly Orlando gay nightclub shooting on June 12.
