The Georgia Straight presents Charlie Winston at the Commodore Ballroom

As indie singer-songwriter Charlie Winston’s visions as a songwriter and performer came together during the making of his 2009 album, Hobo, so did the formation of his band, the Oxymorons, which features Winston on piano and guitar, drummer Medi, bassist Daniel Marsala and harmonica ace Benjamin “Ben Henry” Edwards.

The Oxymorons have followed up Hobo with their latest creation, Running Still, which was released last week. In support of the new album Live Nation has just announced a tour date for Charlie Winston at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, February 4.

Tickets for the show are priced at $24.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Saturday (December 3), 10 a.m. but Straight readers can take advantage of our exclusive presale from Friday (December 2) 10 a.m.–10 p.m. by going to LiveNation.com and submitting our exclusive presale password hobo.
