Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX followed by smaller plane over skies of Vancouver

There was an unusual sight for those who enjoy staring at planes flying over Vancouver.

At times last evening, a narrow-bodied Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX looked like it was being pursued by a Wolfe Air Learjet.

In fact, they were in close proximity as part of a film shoot for the Canadian airline.

The larger aircraft was not being escorted by a military plane, even though it might have looked that way from the ground.

Here's how some of the footage appears from the smaller plane.

According to Air Canada, a helicopter was used to film the ground operations at Vancouver International Airport.
