Mercury, fresh at it in Leo, is game for more pleasure, play, and reward. Despite the world news or your personal-life concerns, overall the stars keep it rolling well through the long weekend.

Just in time for the festivities and fireworks, Mars advances into Leo on Canada Day. Both Mercury and Mars are triggers for something that has been on brew since the start of the year. They fold the action of last January’s eclipses into Tuesday’s solar eclipse and the lunar eclipse of July 16.

As intensification and acceleration influences, eclipses are catalysts for non-negotiable change, for significant endings and beginnings, for deaths and births of note.

Next Tuesday delivers the “Great South American Eclipse”, the only total solar eclipse of 2019. Starting in the Pacific Ocean, the eclipse path will cross from the eastern to western coasts (Chile to Uruguay). The major power outage in the same region just a few weeks ago is a demonstration of how an eclipse can produce even before its calendar date. Expect more headlines and perhaps some geophysical activity. Protecting and preserving the ocean and its inhabitants and national or Indigenous rights and interests fall under the jurisdiction of this eclipse too.

Emotional waterworks are to be expected. You could feel more sensitive, responsive, nostalgic, or vulnerable. Tuesday’s solar eclipse in Cancer begins a next chapter regarding home, real estate, family, children, (national and personal) security and safety, personal needs and priorities. Someone or something from the past can set (karmic) wheels in motion.

Triggered Thursday to Tuesday, Uranus provides added stimulus and an element of the unexpected. Jupiter in the background adds more—i.e., potential, opportunity, and excess.
