Vancouver’s Fig Face (2050 West 4th Avenue) is a chic, design-forward facial bar tucked away in the heart of Kitsilano.

The local skincare and wellness company specializes in quick, clean facials and treatments that take 30 minutes or less, which has attracted a legion of regular clients.

Fig has officially launched a residency at the Fairmont Pacific Rim (1038 Canada Place) that runs through June 2020 (daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.), in a lobby space that was formerly occupied by Granville Island Florist.

Not only limited to hotel guests, those who live and/or work in the downtown core can get a taste of the plush services usually offered at its main location in Kits.

Fig’s menu offers high-tech facials that use microcurrents, LED lights, and oxygen therapy; wrinkle-relaxing injections they call “stingers”; and vitamin injections known as “Fig Shots”, which blend together vitamin B12, minerals, and amino acids.

Guests can enjoy facials in Fig's custom barber chairs.

Custom barber chairs, weighted blankets, complimentary tea, and dimmed lighting add to the relaxing experience.

The small but luxurious pop-up features many textures and colour palettes: its signature forest green hues are found throughout the space, and there are concrete, green marble, and glass elements meant to represent the urban jungle.

“We added fig trees and green felt dividers, custom-made in Germany by Hey Sign, to bring an element of nature and create an enveloping environment,” Jessica Walsh, founder and CEO of Fig Face alongside founding partner Anita Chan, said in a press statement. “The result is a destination to rejuvenate and re-energize, whether you are recovering from jet lag or simply want to escape the busy-ness of downtown life.”

Guests can also browse through a curated selection of clean, skincare products at its mini bar, which carries items from Vintner’s Daughter, Goop, African Botanics, and more.

      Bookings can be made online.
