Bus delays in Vancouver due to downed trolley lines on Granville Street

      Due to downed trolley wires near Granville Street and 5th Avenue, numerous bus routes have been affected today (December 19), starting around 5:30 p.m. and particularly those that travel on the Granville Street Bridge.

      Routes that have been experiencing delays up to one-hour long are:

      • 4 Powell/Downtown/UBC
      • 7 Nanaimo Station/Dunbar
      • 10 Granville/Downtown
      • 15 Cambie/Olympic Village Station
      • 99 Commercial-Broadway/UBC B-Line

      The following routes have cleared detours and are resuming regular routes but delays are expected as service resumes:

      • 9 Alma/UBC/Commercial-Broadway Station/Boundary
      • 14 Hastings/UBC
      • 16 29th Avenue Station/Arbutus
      • 50 False Creek/Waterfront Station

      Some non-trolley buses have been temporarily operating on Granville Street.
