Surrey RCMP seek to identify sexual assault suspect outside Guildford Library

      Surrey RCMP are seeking help identifying a male suspect involved in a sexual assault in the Guildford area.

      Surrey RCMP stated that on December 13, 2019, police responded to a report about a man attempting give an unsolicited kiss to a woman outside the Guildford Library in Surrey.

      The victim managed to remain unharmed during the incident.

      Investigators have obtained surveillance footage of the suspect and are seeking to identify him.

      The suspect is described as a 35 to 40 year old white male with a slim build who is 173 to 178 centimetres (five-feet, eight-inches to five-feet, 10-inches) tall.

      He had been last seen wearing a red and green toque and a grey jacket with yellow stripes down the sleeves.

      Investigators stated that they believe he may be homeless.
