The Canadian swimming team arrived in Tokyo with high hopes of bringing home some medals.

The first came with the women's 4 X 100 relay team capturing silver.

Canada previously won bronze in this event in 2016, 1976, and1968.

Oleksiak now has five Olympic medals, tying her for first among all Canadian athletes in the Summer Games. She won four medals as a 16-year-old in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
