Richmond RCMP cordon off north side of Lansdowne Centre after man injured

      Police are asking the public to stay away from an area near a mall in Richmond after an unspecified incident.

      Richmond RCMP issued an announcement around 4:30 p.m. that it is asking the public to remain away from the north side of Lansdowne Centre (at 5300 No. 3 Road) in Richmond.

      The area has been cordoned off.

      RCMP had received reports of a man down outside the mall and stated that Emergency Health Services took one man to hospital with serious injuries.

      Richmond RCMP is not providing any further details at this time.

      However, anyone who witnessed this incident is asked to call Richmond RCMP at 604-278-1212 or, to remain anonymous, Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
