Oink Oink Mother****er: Danny Trejo goes hog-wild in the gory exploitation epic Bullets of Justice

A few nights ago I saw Machete--Robert Rodriquez's gory action-horror flick about what happens when gringos "mess with the wrong Mexican"--for the third time. I talked my teenage son into watching it with me, 'cause I want him to appreciate the finer things in life, like seeing Danny Trejo as the titular blade-wielder slice a guy's gut open and use the unraveled intestines to swing himself through a window.

      He thought it was "stupid".

      Well...duhhhhhh!

But it was also awesome, as I pointed out in my Georgia Straight review ten years ago.

Now it looks like Trejo is up to his over-the-top exploitation antics once again with a flick called Bullets of Justice. It's about a post-apocalyptic army of half-human/half-pig super-soldiers who take over the world and farm humans as their favourite food.

      How bad could it be?

I'm not sayin' it's as awesome as Machete, but hey--what is?

Bullets of Justice is available starting this weekend on digital/VOD platforms. Find it on the Horror Collective website here.
