Live Nation has announced that Vancouver-based folk-rock group Spirit of the West will be performing at the Commodore Ballroom on Saturday, March 16, 2013, in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, as well as the band’s 30th anniversary.

Spirit of the West began as a folk trio 30 years ago in Vancouver, but has since grown to include John Mann, Geoffrey Kelly, Hugh McMillan, Vince R. Ditrich, and Tobin “The Gull” Frank.

Thirteen albums later, and with singles such as “(And if) Venice is Sinking”, “Five Free Minutes”, “Save This House”, “The Crawl,” and “Home For a Rest” under its belt, Spirit of the West has certainly earned its status as a beloved Canadian band.

Tickets for both shows are priced at $34.50 (plus service charges and fees) and go on sale this Friday (December 7) at 10 a.m. on the Live Nation website.

Tickets for the show are also available for purchase by phone at 1-855-985-5000, at all Ticketmaster Outlets and Rogers Wireless Box Office.
