      The Lotus Whiskey/Tea Lounge at Parq Vancouver has created the Red Lotus cocktail in honour of Chinese New Year. Here's to happiness and abundance in the Year of the Rat. 

      Gung Hay Fat Choy/Gong Xi Fa Cai! 

      Red Lotus

      1 oz Glenlivet
      ½ oz Aperol
      ½ oz port
      1 oz pomegranate juice
      Splash of Prosecco
      Star anise
      Edible gold flakes

      Add the first four ingredients to a cocktail shaker and stir with ice. Pour into a coupe glass, top up with Prosecco, and garnish with a star anise and gold flakes.
