Starting today (April 20), there's a new patio for your al fresco pleasure in Gastown.

Tacofino's Taco Bar has opened its 16-seat outdoor space facing Blood Alley. It's designed by Shiloh Sukkau, who also oversaw the interior décor of the restaurant, and it has reclaimed B.C. cedar tables, Mexican-style chairs, and cement breeze blocks.

The popular restaurant has also launched lunch service from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily. The menu includes tacos of course (most are $6 each, such as the fish taco and lamb birra taco), nachos, salmon ceviche, and a sweet and spicy green salad, among other dishes.

Bar manager Justin Darnes is also introducing some new drinks for the season, such as jugs of sangria and a Jalisco Pimm's cocktail, made with fresh strawberries, mint, cucumber, and oranges.

Or, you could always quench your thirst with a Michelada, an oddly delicious refreshing beverage.
