Eighteen Strathcona businesses—including restaurants, cafés, and breweries—are coming together this Saturday (June 13) for a Meet the Makers expo. Sponsored by the Strathcona Business Improvement Association, the fair features workshops, demonstrations, and food and drink samples from places like Yolk’s Restaurant and Commissary, AGRO Café, Sunrise Soya Foods, and Postmark Brewing. It also involves a Bob Rennie–facilitated panel discussion about the changes in the East Hastings area. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at MakerLabs (780 East Cordova Street).
