Whatever the attraction, it seems that Louisville, Kentucky, electro-rockers VHS or Beta can’t stay away from Vancouver. Last seen in these parts back in November, the most danceable thing to come out of the South since, well, ever, returns to our bleak city for a Saturday (May 3) stand at the Plaza Club. Considering it’s been colder than a frigid witch’s tit this spring—and that VHS or Beta gives you a good idea of what Daft Punk might have sounded like had it formed in Paris, Kentucky, rather than Paris, France—the body heat on the dance floor alone makes this one worth getting off the couch for.
