Spare A Dime For Your Pal?

As part of its 20th-anniversary celebration, Videomatica is sponsoring a fundraising contest to help finance Vancouver's Performing Arts Lodge, which exists to create affordable housing for seniors and other low-income arts workers whose income over the age of 65, according to recent statistics, is less than half the national average of $20,400.

Raffle tickets ($5, $12, and $20) will be drawn Monday (March 15) at the Western Front, with prizes including theatre and movie passes, film books and merchandise, and, of course, free movie rentals. To invest in the PAL, go the Kitsilano shop (1855 West 4th Avenue) or take a look at www.palvancouver.org/.
