If you’ve already had your breath taken away by Cirque du Soleil’s current production in the city, Kurios—Cabinet of Curiosities, then you’ll want to mark your calendars for another one of its upcoming shows in Metro Vancouver.

The Montreal-based entertainment company will be putting on its first on-ice production, Crystal, at the Abbotsford Centre (33800 King Road) from April 11 to 15, 2018.

Spectators will be able to watch gymnasts and skaters perform acrobatics on the ice and in the air, combining synchronized skating and freestyle figures with traditional circus disciplines like swinging trapeze and aerial traps.

The arena-production’s storyline follows the lead character as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery at high-speed in a surreal world.

Folks, we have a feeling that this performance won’t be your regular Disney on Ice-type of creation, but it’s still highly recommended as a family-friendly outing.

Crystal will be Cirque du Soleil’s 42nd original production since 1984. There will be eight performances, and tickets (from $35) go on sale this Friday (November 6) at 10 a.m.

      Show schedule:

      Wednesday, April 11 at 7:30 p.m.
      Thursday, April 12 at 7:30 p.m.
      Friday, April 13 at 7:30 p.m.
      Saturday, April 14 at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
      Sunday, April 15 at  1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.
