Traveling through Iceland - Duty Free

There was so much liquor, but instead I chose a giant bottle of water, a traveller's size jumbo pack of M&M peanuts, and a small can of Pringles. Even the young cashier was blown away by my purchase. Either way, duty free shops are fucken pricy. They're not cheap at all.

Sam Harris has ruined Joe Rogan podcasts

He just makes the so incredibly boring! He's just analyzing what he is saying and analyzing that, but not really saying anything new. Then he starts to analyze what Joe Rogan says and he sucks the fun out of it. Just because Joe Rogan and Sam Harris are both anti PC doesn't mean that Joe Rogan has to interview Sam Harris. It's way boring!

Social Media and Doomed in the Workplace

I notice that there is a lot of anxiety forming in the world. People's expectations are high. To meet people's higher expectations, people must say and do the right thing all the time. But in the workplace, people can't ask simple questions without looking stupid. The nice thing about asking questions is that you can learn. However, nobody wants to. So, good luck with that millennial losers. Try deleting FBook or IGram. Get outside. Go act like an idiot at least a bit. No, don't post the photos online for everyone to see. Go screw up. Have fun. Live a little. Learn.

“Value” Village

No one should ever have to not buy what they want at Value Village because it’s too expensive. That happened to me this week. It’s garbage. In both senses. Literally, you are paying for what other people threw out. Why are there dresses there for $30 when they’re $14.99 at H&M? “Hey Value Village, get your shit together! You got the shit for free!”

Whistle While You Work

I had a labour job and before WCB caught on, we would wear walkmans (yes this was pre-ipod) while we worked. One guy was really into metal and sometimes would spontaneously just bust out with a falsetto scream at the top of his range like Iron Maiden. It was awesome.

Customer Service

I really dont care about good service. I dont get why people get so bent out of shape about it. As long as I get what I came for: my drink, my food, my whatever, then I dont care if they smiled or were polite and happy. Forcing people to be happy with shitty, poorly paid work and demanding their constant enthusiasm is fucked. I feel like the need for good service says a lot about the ego of the petty and immature customers. This for example, is why I go to hole in wall Asian restaurants over nice trendy places. The bathrooms are often shitty and poorly maintained, the service is basic if not hostile but the food is honest and good. I would prefer that any day to some Cactus Club place where the food is inedible but the waitresses are hot/servile. Furthermore, the whole 'customer is always right' creates monsters out of customers and puts wait staff in a dangerous and vulnerable position.

Private or Municipal

Have an opportunity to work for a private company or a contract Municipal position. I know nothing about local govt work-life but everyone always says to get a govt job. What should I do?

Payday Loans!

The #1 issue with British Columbians! Thank you Mr. Horgan!

So bummed

I was so happy because I finally had a dream about a guy who wasn’t my ex. I was making out with this great guy who didn’t look or feel anything like the one that I’ve been thinking about for almost a year since we split. Then I remembered that at the end of the dream the guy tells me he’s 17 and we both get seriously awkward and he leaves. That’s when I got bummed because now I’m wondering what the hell that part means. Oh and before all you guys start freaking out and accusing me of being a pedo, I should tell you that he looked like he was at least in his 40’s, and we were just kissing. But at least it’s a start, right? I’m still giggling.

Bullying is bad

So why do people think it's okay to bully smokers? I think that's sad.
