All Elite Wrestling slams into Rogers Arena for the first time

All Elite Wrestling’s slamming live matches are coming to Vancouver for the first time.

As part of a spring 2024 tour, the upstart wrestling company is set to cause chaos when it films its weekly Collision show live from Rogers Arena on May 11.

The promotion’s other first-time Canadian dates include arena shows in Quebec City, Ottawa, and London, Ontario, where rosters of well-oiled, muscle-bound, high-flying wrestlers will hash it out in the ring.

AEW started up in 2019, and has since established itself as a rival to the long-dominant monopoly of WWE. The company first brought live shows to Canada last year, with events in Toronto, Winnipeg, and Edmonton.

“I can’t wait to plant AEW’s flag in four new markets across Canada, and revisit some of the amazing cities we debuted in last summer,” says AEW president Tony Khan in a statement. “Everyone at AEW is proud to continue paying homage to Canada’s rich wrestling heritage, and serving the great Canadian fans with massive shows across the country in the new year.”

While the line-up is yet to be announced, AEW's promo image for Vancouver suggests Canadian legends like Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, and Adam Copeland will be among the wrestlers featured at the event.

Wrestling is no joke, and it’s also a form of art, as we outlined earlier this year. The most important thing is that you buy into the camp of it all.
