      First concert

(Isaiah Dobbs) First concert I saw was Gorillaz and they brought out De La Soul and Bobby Womack, who are all very big influences on me.

(Jacob Schwinghammer) Billy Idol at the Orpheum. My parents took me because I loved the tapes my dad had of his. I only remember it being very loud and everyone standing up so I couldn’t see. I think I mostly just liked the glorious sound of 20-year-old cassettes.

      Life-changing concert

(Isaiah) Chance the Rapper at Pemberton Music Festival was too crazy—he played the Arthur theme song and made me cry. That whole festival was inspiring, Andre 3000 shouted me out!

(Jacob) Chance was incredible—he’s not lying about crying. A show that changed me was Flying Lotus and Thundercat at the Vogue. At that point I was only into electronic music but Thundercat came out with his keyboard player and drummer playing everything live and absolutely crushed it. It made FlyLo DJing behind his laptop seem underwhelming in comparison. It taught me the value of live interaction on stage and sharing energy with each other and the audience.

      Top three records

(Isaiah) Shuggie Otis Inspiration InformationWhen I was young my dad told me about how Shuggie wrote, produced, and played on all the songs. The combination of his DIY approach and his deeply soulful grooves undoubtedly changed me as a musician.

(Jacob) H20$$$SPORTS$$$ YAYAYI This album is Bowser from super Mario Bros 2 tipping his sunglasses down to wink at you while wailing on a double-neck guitar and shredding a surfboard in front of a giant pot leaf. Don’t @ me.

(Everyone on earth hopefully) D' Angelo VoodooThis is one of those intimate albums that connects to me in ways that are hard to explain. The whole story of what was going down during recording is amazing. The way it sounds is incredible. D’Angelo’s musicianship and feeling are perfect. It’s the greatest album ever made.

      All-time favourite music video

(Isaiah) All the Gorillaz music videos are fantaaasssttiicc, they definitely played a huge part in me realizing music and the arts as something to be apart of.

(Jacob) David Guetta "Memories" I strictly consume music in a sensory deprivation chamber to ensure no external factors contribute to my taste in music. The only exception is "Memories" by David Guetta so that I don’t forget how to dance and enjoy music and life like he does.

      What's in your fridge

(Isaiah) Aloe vera. I have some kiehl’s aloe vera after shave that I like to keep nice n cool. I get crazy ingrown hairs and it helps soothe the pain, if u got course curly facial hair and have found a way to manage it HELP ME PLEASE!

(Jacob) Backberry jam. My Grandma’s incredible homemade blackberry jam. Delicious even after the thought of Isaiah’s ingrown hairs.

(Isaiah) Percuitto. I alsohave some percuitto that a customer gave me at work.TBH I don’t really have much in the fridge haha.

(Jacob) Carrots. I also have a very large bag of carrots from Superstore because they are so cheap I couldn’t afford to not buy them;now I just have to figure out how to incorporate carrots into every meal. My third item has to be my Yves veggie ground round. Tasty! Healthy! Good for the planet probably?? Sponsor me Yves.
