Café Kathmandu serves up succulent goat curry

Fresh, light, and flavourful—everything I’ve tried at Café Kathmandu (2779 Commercial Drive) has been excellent. This Nepalese restaurant is a fantastic place for vegetarians, but there’s also a special treat in store for meat lovers: the goat curry. If you’ve never tried goat, this is the place to do it. Elsewhere goat can be bony and tough; here, it’s boneless and succulent, and not at all gamy. The khasiko maasu curry ($12) is rich without being greasy, with deep, complex spicing. Don’t miss the superb homemade cilantro, tomato, and daikon chutneys, either.
