The Pride of Mission is in the news across North America.

That's because pop star Carly Rae Jepsen tweeted this morning that she won't perform in the Boy Scouts of America Jamboree this summer.

"I will have and will continue to support the LGBT community on a global level...and stay informed on the ever changing landscape in the ongoing battle for gay rights in this country and across the globe," she wrote on her Twitter feed.

The Scouts have a ban on openly gay leaders and members.

The "Call Me Maybe" singer's condemnation comes a month after President Barack Obama encouraged the Scouts to change their policy.
