I used to smoke a lot of weed

But I stopped because I couldn't think clearly enough to keep up with my peers in college. If I continued to smoke weed, I wouldn't have made it to UBC.
I think the right to smoke weed is nice, and a benefit of a liberal state, but I do not think one should smoke weed as much as protesters at 420 events and other people chronically do.
... unless they are happy where they are in their lives.

There are a shit ton of people a lot smarter and successful than you will ever be, that have smoked more weed every day than you ever smoked in a day kid.
Worry about yourself, don't worry about me, steve jobs, mark Cuban, Mick Jagger or anyone else, k little man?
Green behind the ears is right smart ass.
Depends

It totally depends on what type, for what reason, how much, when, etc. It's much too complicated to narrow it down to just "weed". There are countless varieties that are specifically formulated to deal with specific needs; relaxation, pain control, anxiety, sleep, fun, etc. maybe you need to re-think the whole thing?

The most common weed is Indica (shorter, easier to grow indoors) and that is the one that causes the couchlock.
Sativa strains are less common but they are good for getting stuff done.
The OP, like a lot of the stoners who only care about getting high and don't care about learning about the plant, was most likely smoking mainly indicas.
Sativas for daytime. Indicas for night time & pain & stress relief.

Wow. For a pothead, that one guy was angry.
Maybe meditation will help instead of self-medication?
Panties in a twist?

What were you doing in college where you didn't learn not to generalize your own experiences onto others? Yeshk.
I had to smoke enough weed to be able to survive uni. I have PTSD. I didn't know it then. I just knew the effects pot had on helping me focus, ease my anxiety, and allow me to pull it together. I got straight As, a graduate degree ,a professional job right out of school, a side gig I love... and I don't think I'd have any of it if not for pot. I still smoke every day - you'd consider me one of those chronics you have so much judgement for, I'm sure - and I get more done before breakfast than a lot of people do in a day.

You probably wouldn't have made it to UBC if you were drinking every day, either.
I think the right to drink is nice, but not as much as people at bars and beer gardens do.
I guess they're happy with their lives.......
Also, no photos of diseased livers or broken families on the liqour bottle. Heck, make it taste like juice. That'll keep the kids away...
