Breadtime story

No matter what time of day or night, I just can’t be trusted in the same room as a fresh loaf of bread. Moderation is not going to happen. Just isn’t.

Dan offers some advice on where she might find it.
We both abruptly stopped on the corner of W Hastings/Cambie near the park and seamlessly started...

When I was a teenager my grandma used to scream, "Who ate all the f***** bread?!?!". It was me. That's who. Homemade grandma bread with butter and jam omg. Yeah, the whole loaf and unlike regular bread butts the butt was the best part. So flakey and buttery.
Can relate

Anytime I bake anything, it’s gone within 12 hours.

That’s one of the main reason that I stopped baking my own bread. I couldn’t manage to even let it cool before I was attacking it like a crazed beast. Warm bread and real butter. Heaven.

Storebought bread, even the expensive artisanal kind, is just not even close to homemade. I was in a store once and this very loud-talking fellow shopper was with her companion in the bread aisle, saying, "Bread! I mean, really, bread is just a vehicle for butter!" And I thought, "Too true, my loud friend, too true." But with homemade bread, you can almost eat it without anything on it. It's a good thing I have no patience for baking with yeast . . .I would weigh 50 pounds more.

Bread is really easy to make.
Flour, water, instant rise yeast, salt. It doesn't really take patience. Tho, I guess I do remember the Grade 8 Applied Skills cooking class where we had to make muffins.
I calmly followed the recipe, as I had been cooking since age 3. Some people...did not understand the assignment.

The best things in life are f̶r̶e̶e̶ carbohydrates. Beer, bread, pasta, muffins, popcorn, potato chips… should I go on, I could go on?

My first comment may have been moderated out. This second one is inferior, it will nonetheless make its way back in the oven. I am prone to being overly vocal about my love of garlic bread anyways. In defence of moderation, it may have stolen a loaf here and there, but it’s also saved me from some trouble a few times. This is more a metaphor, as I am a hypocrite to speak on topics of moderation. Anywho, nothing wrong with enjoying oneself! Enjoy your bread. See ya later, the bread’s gonna burn, and I must attend to my oven. Thank you for hearing me concerning my love of garlic bread.
