I miss my therapist

This is my first week without my therapist. Our sessions had to end somewhat suddenly, there wasn't much that we could do about it. It was very helpful to me and the work that we did got me through a rough period and will continue to help me get through my life. That being said, I'm very afraid that I won't be able to find another therapist that I will connect with as well as this one, I've seen a few in my life and this one helped me the most. It's only been a week but this 60 minute gap in my schedule seems like an abyss.

I miss my mom !
She was an angel !
Things would have turned out very different if she had still been here.
I will see her soon .

A therapist. And the sliding scale ones have a 2 year wait list where I live. So be glad you got dome help at least.

I guess that you're not spending all your money on food. I hope that the next therapist you connect with understands that the ones needing the most help are the ones in survival mode.

It’s free of charge, 60 minutes once every seven days. You don’t always get the same person but it’s something.

It’s so common to hear people telling others to get counselling or find a good therapist. But that’s so incredibly hard to do! Unless you’ve got unlimited resources to hire the best, you’ll wind up on a waiting list for years just for a clinical counsellor (not a psychologist) and even then, if that person isn’t a good fit for you you’ve got to try to find another one. Reality means that the vast majority of people who need therapy aren’t going to be able to get it. So please stop saying this to someone who is suffering as if they can’t figure that out for themselves. Trust me, they know they need help and if it was available they’d very likely be getting it.

Interesting isn't it, the wealthiest getting free therapy while the people suffering the most can't even find a family doctor in this province. Somehow the greedy have prioritized which people deserve to live and die more. Hopefully more see what a joke and illusion health care really is.
