Tickets are selling quickly for two alfresco culinary evenings connected to the upcoming Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver. On August 7, the annual Best of the West event takes place on Ambleside Pier (at the foot of 14th Street and Argyle Avenue) with food and wine pairings from 13 B.C. wineries and 13 North Shore restaurants. August 8 marks the debut of RARE, a seafood-focused soiree held on a temporary deck near Lawson Creek Studios (1756 Argyle Avenue), where the creek meets the ocean. Rodney’s Oyster House is preparing dishes for the event, which features family-style dining and an oyster-shucking station. For tickets to both events ($100 and $75, respectively) call 604-925-7270; for info see harmonyarts.ca/.
