There’s a Jameson pop-up in town for St Patrick’s Day

The Ballyhoo is going to be looking a bit different starting tomorrow.

From March 1 until St. Patrick’s Day on March 17, the Burrard Street pub is getting a Dublin-style makeover. “The Barrelman” pop-up aims to transport patrons to the Jameson Distillery on the Irish capital’s Bow Street, where Jameson whisky originated all the way back in 1780.

For the second year in a row, the venue will see special food and drink menus, along with curated decor, live music, tastings, and cocktail-making workshops, as part of the takeover. Try some of the hearty dishes—like lamb sliders or corned beef and cabbage—paired with reimagined drinks like a Jameson Mule, to get a little taste of the Emerald Isle.

And if you’re partaking in any of the Jameson, Guinness, or Gaelic-inspired items, you’ll get a scratch card promising various prizes—including the big-ticket item of a free trip for two to Dublin.

That’s assuming you needed an excuse to get deep into whisky for the next two weeks, though. Slàinte!
