Port Mann Traffic Services discovers dummy in passenger seat of vehicle in HOV lane

Police officers will tell you that they're not dummies.

So it only stands to reason that they would notice a fake human being in the passenger seat of a vehicle travelling in a high-occupancy vehicle lane on Highway 1.

The motorist received several tickets before the "passenger" was hauled away in a police car.

"We routinely conduct patrols on Highway 1 to enforce all the traffic laws, including HOV violators," Cpl. Garth Domm of Port Mann Traffic Services said in a news release.

"This is one of those cases where the RCMP got their mannequin."
