Open to a House Husband

After about 3 years of being single, I've given up on finding a partner who is a similar fit to me in terms of education, demographics, attractiveness, and other variables. I was hoping to meet a nice guy who was smart and fun, and could take care of his managing own life (no active drug addiction, maintains a career, exercises, has a good work ethic, etc.). But now I must say, having my own house husband would be pretty cool, too. I do ok (make about 75 K) - enough to support a low maintenance guy. I would love to come home from work, see the dishes done, and have a nice meal waiting for me on the stove. And then lots of sex. And Netflix! How do I make this happen?

Bless you, a person who seeks something realistic and attainable.

I think online dating is perfect for this, instead of the unattainable ideal and detailed checklist that they normally get (much like HR departments these days). The Economist ran this trend as a cover story some months ago: the prospects of human males are in decline. In the next five years, as men come to terms with their newly reduced importance to the species, you should have your pick of suitable candidates.

Worth noting that many humans are prone to straying occasionally (for novelty, if nothing else). Would be prudent to negotiate any such eventualities in advance, instead of ignoring the non-trivial probability of this. Mature partners negotiate; immature partners cheat (and lie about it).

but then started resenting it when he would be out enjoying the day (coffee/beers with friends etc) while I was putting in the hours. Dinners were always late, the place was still a mess ... Then during the divorce he was entitled to half of everything. I don't know how the traditional man does it.

Meh.

Shallow. Superficial. Self-absorbed. Frequently lacking attention to detail. In bed and most everywhere else. Not that men are any better, but let's be fair - those who fit your description of "waaaaay better" are quite rare.
