The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors Medicine

Vancouver-based performer TJ Dawe presents his solo show, Medicine, at the Firehall Arts Centre (280 East Cordova Street) from January 14 to 25, with appearances by Dr. Gabor Maté in talkbacks after select shows.

Medicine follows Dawe’s experience at a retreat led by Dr. Maté where participants ingested the Amazonian psychotropic plant drug ayahuasca in order to confront their demons. Dawe’s journey into what lies behind his impulses and motivations is funny, introspective, and at times dark.
