Cyclists are trying to kill us

Are you a cyclist in the GVA? Do you ride at night with a rapidly flashing light that endangers everyone around you (like another cyclist, driver, or pedestrian who could get a seizure--or in my case a migraine that causes me to completely lose my vision while walking or driving)? If so, please be respectful and turn that solid light on from now on.

No problem, I will turn the solid light on while I bike down the sidewalk.
I agree...

... as a cyclist, I find the flashing lights annoying.
Also, to get technical, I think that a proper reading of the motor vehicle act requires a continuous beam of light, not a flashing light, especially not a flashing red light.
Nope

In the dark, cars are more likely to see me with a flashing front and rear light. It’s a matter of survival of being visible. I can be lit up with five lights, and cars STILL don’t see me. Sorry to hear you lose your vision though. Does this happen when you directly stare into the light?
Oh please...

Do you start convulsing every time someone turns their indicator lights on? Is that why nobody seems to use them in Vancouver?
What about when an emergency vehicle goes by with their lights flashing?
You sound like a danger to yourself and others.
What is the benefit

of the flashing light? I seriously want to know.

You won’t get a seizure and migraines from a flashing bike light, they don’t flash rapidly enough. If they did they would be taken off the market. A flashing bike light is more noticeable making everyone safer. You’re just having a bad night and blaming cyclists for it. Seriously, bicyclists are being blamed for causing seizures now?
As a cyclist

I absolutely agree when you have blinking lights ypu are endangering everyone around you because you're blinding them. Including other cyclist pedestrians and vehicles. So stupid!

Definitely not the only way ...

Get off the road

You shouldn't be driving if you are that easily prone to seizures
