They overlook how old, fat, uncouth and unattractive a man is ONLY if his wealth/status is high enough.
Also, men are not delusional. Unattractive men know that they are unattractive. They know that if a woman gives them any attention, its because of what he can offer financially.
That's why the ugly guys and nerds work extra hard in school: So they can get good careers and afford a girlfriend or wife.

... a man gain from admitting he is ugly? I know I am ugly, and I don't approach women. I also don't work because I don't want to take a job away from healthy, handsome people who should have a child. I don't think I gain much from doing all of this, and, if I were less realistic, maybe, as you say, I could at least find a woman who would out of love act like I wasn't ugly.

Men are the worst.

I’m absolutely sick of hearing men constantly bitching about how women are so shallow and only want gorgeous wealthy men! It’s completely ridiculous. Not one woman I know feels that way. Maybe the guys that have encountered only these types are the same ones who only date women like that!! I’v been told constantly that I’m beautiful. I’m intelligent, talented, funny, and extremely open and loving. I’m attracted to many different types of men, and can truthfully say that not once has their income been a factor, unless they expect me to support them. The majority of women I know feel the same way, so who knows where all these shallow women that are apparently the entire Vancouver female demographic are?

In several studies, women rate 80% of men as below average in looks,and 90% of women as above average in looks. It's actually a bell curve: a few very ugly,a few very good looking,a whole bunch in the middle with smaller amounts in between the 3 points.

So your "ugly" men are average at worst,and your beautiful women are average at best.

My big brother once gave me some advice about finding the right woman. He told me the best time to find the right woman is in a time where I would be at my lowest, and with nothing. It's when he found his wife, and now that he's rich, he knows she truly loves him, for him, and not for money, and status. He was right. Everyone deserves to be in a relationship with someone that truly loves them. I will never settle for anything less myself. I need someone I can trust to have my back through all the thick and thin.
