I think you’re missing the fact that the majority of people coming here could care less about joining anything, especially becoming a part of our culture. Instead, they come here to enjoy our physical environment and use our services, while continuing to live exactly the way they did in their own country. They create their own enclaves and neighbourhoods, their own businesses that employ others of their culture, and they use rudimentary English only when forced to. The really galling part is when they demand, and often get, free translation services provided to them at the expense of existing Canadian taxpayers. It’s absolutely mind blowing how stupid we are as a society. We’ve become a joke.
