Get off the fucking train for a second if you are blocking people from exiting!!! How hard is that to do?? If you can't fathom doing this simple courtesy I will seriously shove you right off the train myself

Really appreciate it when folks remember to take their backpacks off, and are alert and communicative too; just wish that the learning curve for folks that don't, wasn't so high. Haha, so shove away I say!
Is it just me?

Or are people on public transit getting stupider every year?

that everytime I read an apoplectic rant like this about riding public transit, I am reminded that the exorbitant prices I pay to park downtown are worth every penny, and that I pity all of you that don't have the same luxury

If you say politely "excuse me" you will receive quite a lecture as well. At least I did from an old english man. No concern to him if no one or only one person can get off due to his actions.
Agreed

But is it necessary to talk about injuring the person who bothered you? That approach is a bit disturbing and common anymore. People don't do it on purpose, they are just daft as hell these days.

Do what I do:
When the train gets to the platform, you simply say "Excuse me" and push them out of your way, as gently and firmly as possible.
I'm a brit, btw.
Are you

the same jerk who is going to drop a shoulder into cellphone gazers who walk like zombies along city sidewalks and send them flying?
Remember those like thinkers who drive cars and chase pedestrians out of cross walks. They may be hunting you!
