Happy ending

It's me, the recent confessor who put his rent money into bitcoin to try and turn it into more rent money. It worked! I realize it could have gone the other way. But this inspires me to take more risks! What other things might I achieve in life, if I am not afraid to think outside the box? Sometimes you just gotta roll the dice in the casino of life and see what you get.

Please be careful when it comes to that stuff. If you’re young, then sure. Invest in risky stocks, etc. But keep in mind that the older you get, the less time you have to recover from those times when the risk didn’t pan out. I know someone who continues to risk over and over again, and has always wound up losing big at the end of the day. They’re no further ahead after all this time (over 30 years of playing the market) than they would have been if they’d just put their money into a savings account; in fact if they had they’d have a lot more of it.
Glad the Bitcoin worked out

And thanks for the follow up.
As for future risks, the chorus from The Gambler by Kenny Rogers may offer some guidance: “You've got to know when to hold 'em / Know when to fold 'em....”
Congrats OP =)

I love this optimism, but these things have a tendency to go down as well as up.
Just saying.
