British Butcher Shoppe's tongue loaf will have you licking your lips

If you like corned beef or pastrami sandwiches, give tongue a chance. The British Butcher Shoppe (various locations) makes its own tongue loaf using a traditional British recipe: it’s brined for 10 days, then slowly simmered with garlic and pickling spices, set in a loaf pan, and sliced into cold cuts. The meat ($2.42 per 100 grams) is oh-so-tender and delicious on a bagel with a touch of sharp English mustard. Or substitute it for corned beef in a Reuben (on rye with swiss cheese and sauerkraut) or swap out the meat in a hash. You may just discover a new favourite.
