For those who frequent the Nat Bailey Farmers Market in the winter, you’ll soon have a summer option in the same neighbourhood.

Located across the street from the stadium’s winter market, a summer Vancouver Farmers Market will returning to Riley Park (50 East 30th Avenue at Ontario Street) beginning this Saturday (June 24) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The grand opening of this market comes after an eight year hiatus; the redeveloped park will be hosting this Saturday farmers market through October 7, 2017.

Opening celebrations include speeches, cake, kids programming, community garden activities, and more.

Riley Park Farmers Market will feature over 30 local farms, producers, and vendors who will bring everything from fresh fruits and veggies to ethically raised and grass-fed meat, sustainable seafood to eggs and dairy, and craft beer and wine to artisanal eats.

If you’re worried that you’ll become hungry during the shopping, don’t fret—food trucks will be on-site to cure your appetite.

Other Vancouver Farmers Market locations that runs during the summer months include downtown, Kitsilano, Main Street Station, Mount Pleasant, Trout Lake, and the West End.
