This has not been an easy day for those who keep the power on and the streets clear of debris.

That's because an early-morning wind storm created problems across the south coast.

In Vancouver alone, the engineering department had to deal with two fallen poles at street lights, 12 traffic signal problems, and a damaged sign.

It also brought branches down in many areas, resulting in 30 calls to the city's 311 phone line.

B.C. Hydro crews will be working through the night to restore power.

However some might have to wait a little longer in South Surrey and South Langley, as well as on Gambier Island, Cortes Island, and Mount Washington.

At the peak of the storm, more than 73,000 customers were without electricity.

Below, you can check out some images of the storm's impact.
