Bahrain's security forces have used tanks to drive anti-government protesters out of Pearl Square in the capital, Manama.

BBC News reported that the government has imposed a curfew and banned all protests.

It said reports indicate that at least three protesters were killed after police fired on the mostly Shia demonstrators.

Three police officers were also killed, according to officials.

The BBC says Bahrain's Sunni rulers have called in Saudi troops as they try to suppress the uprising.

As well, the Bahraini democratic uprising is being crushed with Light Armoured Vehicles (LAVs), made in Canada by GM. 1200 or so were made by CAW union labour in London Ontario during the 1990s and early 2000s, and sold to the Saudi National Guard. See:
