I though this quote from Garrison Keillor summed up being single the best. " A single guy can walk around without explaining it to anyone.Married guys can't go nowhere. There always has to be a plan, a list of errands , a system, a destination. Alone, your life in intuitive, like poetry. With a woman, it's a form of bookkeeping."

Being single is Jazz. Being married is Wagner. Wagner has it's moments but it's ultimately drama. Jazz is self expression.

Studies have shown that married men live longer. And all the older single men I know are bitter and miserable as hell.

True! They are all bitter! Nobody to wash the clothes, cook, take care of them. So being young sure, the post makes sense. But an old man? Old men alone... sad situation...Nobody wants to grow old all alone. If you don’t have a significant other and something happens to you who to call? Who will care?
