When I go out to a restaurant on a date, I don't want to be seated at the end of a big long table full of strangers.

depends. Definitely not early in a relationship. If things are awkward strangers listening in certainly doesn't help. But if you're serious about the other person and you are both serious about food, there are A FEW places worth the packed seating.

Did you understand that before you made your reservation? There are some places that do it deliberately to create a specific type of ambiance, such as one might find in a rustic Italian or farmhouse theme. It’s up to you to do your research in advance if you’re looking for a special romantic environment.

thumbs up ! Entitled twats. Did you request/reserve a table or booth. Did you expect the staff to know you're on a date? BTW this isn't a confession, it's whining.
