I started swearing.
No big deal to some of you but it kinda is to me. I find it really liberating and an effective way to release frustration, anger, etc. My kids have heard me, my parents, my spouse, and my God. And guess what they still love me. F#*k the purity culture messages I absorbed as a young girl from conservative christian culture about sex, profanity, etc. Such bullshit!

When I'm at my peak stress levels, I find it very helpful to go into a small room, shut the door, and let loose the loudest f-bomb I can.

invoking "christian conservative" sounds like someone who watches and focuses too much on American news. Take a look around BC, we don't even really have a provincial Conservative party. It goes NDP, Liberal, Green... then Marxist, Independent.... then Conservative. Heck, you are more likely to run into a scientologist than a christian conservative around here.
Fuckin' Right!

I can’t stop! I started swearing when I was really young in the late 60’s and now it’s just a part of my vocabulary. I know when not to use it though. But my favourite place to let it fly is when I’m driving. Everyone who has ever pissed me off takes possession of my mind and they get all of the worst words I can think of and usually at full volume. It’s cathartic : ).
