Popular sweet treats spot Beta5 Chocolates (413 Industrial Avenue) will soon be opening up a highly anticipated cafe next door (409 Industrial Avenue).

Slated to launch mid-month, the 900-square foot space with 16 seats will feature many of Beta5’s mouthwatering goods.

Guests can expect to find its sell-out chocolates and cream puffs, as well as a new beverage menu with drinks like coffee, tea, and hot chocolates.

The interior is designed by co-founder Adam Chandler, who opened the award-winning confectionary shop alongside Jessica Rosinski in 2011. Minimalistic features using concrete, wood, and steel paired with pastel-coloured art by local artist Scott Sueme will make up the bulk of the cafe.

“For us, it’s about creating, surprising, and delighting people with truly unique flavour combinations they may not always expect but works, similar to the juxtaposition between nature and industrial landscape of our location,” Chandler said in a press statement. “We hope and want this to translate into our new cafe space and look forward to sharing it with everyone.”
