like all the survival skills you created in March-May 2020 to adapt to abrupt life changes, you need to think of coming out of the pandemic the same way. I have two jobs, one tourism that for the most part came out of the restrictions last July, and a retail outlet that still wears N95's and only eased that policy a week and half ago. The tourism job took maybe 6 months of baby step social gatherings and trial and error, before February through April felt like the before pandemic times. The retail place I assume will go down the same path and not feel out of it before the end of the year. if it took you 6 months of normalizing to a pandemic, will take 6-12 months to return. good luck.

Lots of people have decided that they’re not happy in the jobs that they have now. So much has changed since the beginning of 2020, and working in those types of stifling environments just doesn’t work for many people who have seen other possibilities since then. So dust off your resume and get out there. There’s a whole big world of other ways to make a living waiting for you.
Depending on the variables

If you strip off your cloths at work and run the hallway, it may be best to do it before lunch :-) ... But seriously when I express the same feelings some of my friends and family tell me I must still remain thankful for life in good ole' Canada. Of course they're right but my struggle is to keep my equilibrium in these covid climate crisis cuckoo times.

It’s quiet because people are actually working?

I wanted to go back to the office to be able to be more productive (the lag working over VPN sucks) but they terminated everyone.
