Victoria's Bin 4 Burger Lounge opens South Granville location in Vancouver
Although CaliBurger closed its downtown location in the Robson shopping area, a new burger joint has entered the Vancouver market in the South Granville shopping district.
Bin 4 Burger Lounge has made the leap across the Strait of Georgia (not to be confused with the Georgia Straight) from Victoria to Vancouver.
Located at 2996 Granville Street, the 2,700-square-foot premises will seat about 100 people (with an additional 40 on the patio).
With a focus on local ingredients and hormone- and antibiotic-free meat, the menu centres around a wide range of burgers (priced from $13 to $17) that incorporate inspiration from regional and international cuisines.
Beef burger selections, which feature 63 Acres premium B.C. beef, span the range from a wild mushroom burger to the Dirty Bourbon, with beef, pork, chorizo, chipotle bourbon barbecue sauce, and an onion ring.
For burger options beyond beef, there's also quite a number of lamb, chicken, pork, or bison offerings, such as the Breakfast Club, with pork, chorizo, bacon, egg, and jalapeno guacamole; the Delizioso, with free-run chicken breast, basil pesto, and boccocini; or My Big Fat Greek Burger, with lamb and goat cheese.
Going beyond meat, there's also the "Chicken of the Sea" burger, with seared rare sesame-crusted ahi tuna; ginger soy tofu with sweet corn red pepper and jalapeno salsa; and the Mr. Bean, with chickpeas and black beans.
There are also salads, such as a southwest chicken salad or ahi tuna and citrus salad; lettuce wraps (with ginger soy chicken or pork and chorizo); side orders, including deep-fried pickles; and desserts.
The B.C.–based chain, which launched in 2011, has three locations in Victoria.
